He Loves In Spite Us

1 John 4:9---In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

God sent His son into the world and we crucified Him. We crucified God's only child. We murdered Him. Before we murdered Him, we tortured Him to the point He almost died from the torture. Can we accept what we did in the deepest part of our hearts? Can we accept what we did to Christ and not fall upon the ground in total and utter remorse? Can we accept we committed torture and murder against the most beautiful, innocent, and divine person ever to live? Can we still remain who we were before we accepted our guilt? We are not to remain the same when we accept our guilt for crucifying Christ. We are to change. We are to turn away from the person we are who crucified Christ. Instead, we are to turn toward Him in sorrow over what we have done. Love walked among us, but what do we do now when we realize what we did to Him? Most of all, we must accept our individual guilt in Christ's torture and murder. We must accept our personal responsibility in murdering God's only Son. Most of all, we must accept Him as Savior and Lord. We must accept His forgiving love and grace. We must turn away from our darkness and walk toward His light and love.
