The Clear Deed To A Mansion Text—John 14:1-3

✝️ Jesus Is Your Confidence

Who Moved?

Words Of Encouragement

Philippians 2:1-2--- If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

The words for your life and faith, today are love, encouragement, comfort, fellowship, tenderness, and compassion. Strive to be this kind of person with this kind of character. The benefits to you and from God are enormous. Speaking words of love, encouragement, comfort, fellowship, tenderness, and compassion are important. What is more important is being and exuding these words in the way we act and live. When we are these words, Christ is glorified.

Your Forces For Victory

Written Strategies

Each of us wants a written and easy-to-follow winning plan for life. We want every detail written out in plain language. We want winning strategies to help us conquer every foe and smash every obstacle into dust. We want all the winning strategies in an easy to access format like an easy to follow recipe in a recipe book. God loves the heart of a person who wants to win under His rules and guidelines. If we will be honest, strong, and persevering, we will find these winning written strategies in God's Word. Much of the wisdom contained in the Bible is, for the most part, fairly general. We do not often get as much specific instruction as we might like. However, if we will ask, seek, and knock on the door of the Lord's wisdom by accessing His Word, we will get our winning answers. The Lord will provide us with the wisdom we need. The Lord will provide us with hope to fuel our life. The Lord will give us the power to build winning strategies for Him. These Strategies are given to us in His precious word we choose to read and follow its direction for life or we choose to go our own way. Choose you this day which strategy you will follow.

✝️ God Hears Your Cry

Having Wisdom And Openness

Beware Of Wolves In Sheep's Clothing

Have you ever heard the term beware of wolves in sheep clothing? Some people who put on a front to make people think they are the finest of Christians and then try to destroy the Church or even others in the Church are no more than wolves in sheep clothing. Notice the words of the Apostle Paul, "Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such services, not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." BEWARE!! Wolves are seeking to devour all they can. Remember Your Victory is found in JESUS! Wolves will eat just about anything, even road-kill meat. It is a way to save energy during the cold winter months. It’s a way to get something for nothing – no work involved. They will look for deer that have been struck by motor vehicles and enjoy a free meal. The same thing with the false Christians; their greed will cause them to collect money any way possible and they will speak falsities and exploit unknowing prey. Greed drives their hearts rather than grace. We are warned that these wolves are not only outside of the church but come from within as well. BEWARE!!

✝️ God’s Everlasting Love

A Must, You Need Faith

Winning Is Not Assured

We all want victory. We all want a guarantee what we do will pay off in the future. We all want to know, at the very least, things will be all right in the future. The reality of our life shows us winning is not assured. In our life on earth, we can and do taste defeat. The causes of our defeats are many just as the causes of our victories are many. Although winning is not assured in every circumstance, we can still win out over whatever adversity or circumstances we face in life. You may lose everything and everyone. However, even in this instance, you can win out by not giving in and not giving up. Our greed, our lust, and our selfishness corrupt our ideas of what it means to win. If we think of winning as winning a prize without much of an effort on our part, we end up being losers because we have not put forth much effort. Winning in life, even if we have lost everything and everyone, requires effort on our part. Just because you may be in grief over a loss in any area of life, being in grief does not mean your grief will guarantee you a win in the future. You may feel bad about losing. However, feeling bad about losing does not mean you will win in the future or deserve to win in the future. To win out over circumstances requires we continually work toward our goals and objectives. When we defeat the inner opponent within ourselves, we are assured of winning out over every circumstance.

You Can Have A Positive Impact On Others

✝️ The God Of All Comfort

Wholeness And Healing

Unity in the Church Matters

Politicians seem to thrive on division. Income brackets separate communities into one side of the tracks or the other. Even people who share the same beliefs bicker about how to live out those beliefs. Unity may seem far-fetched, but unity is what Jesus prayed for us before going to the cross. More than anything, Jesus’ desire was for the church to be one because their uncommon unity would be a powerful witness to God’s love. In John 17, Jesus prays, “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” (John 17:23). With so much division over so many things, Christians’ ability to be unified, even when we’re not the same, is what will set us apart. This kind of unity doesn’t happen naturally. It comes from above. As we experience God’s love for us, it leads us to love other believers with pure, unselfish motives. We stop trying to push ourselves to the top and begin submitting to God and one another. Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are united, we are to be united to bring God glory. Jesus knew He wouldn’t be on Earth forever, and we are His plan to reconcile people with God. But reconciliation has to start with us. When believers live in harmony, people take notice and get a glimpse of Jesus’ love.

✝️ Choose This Day Who You Serve

Who You Serve

Where The Line Is Drawn

When do we know where and how the line is drawn between being the victims of our own sin and being victims of Satan's power? The reality is, there is no real difference because Satan is working to make us the victim of our own sin AND to make us one of his victims. We can say we refuse to be a victim but saying is one thing and actually freeing ourselves from Satan's grip is another.

To free yourself and erase the line, here are the priorities:

1. Christ must be your savior

2. You must receive Him as your savior.

3. Everything you are and everything you own must belong to him and to Him only.

4. You must live for him and not for yourself.

Instead of a new house, a new boat, or a new car, some of your money ought to go toward building the kingdom of God. Some of your money should go toward some kind of Christian ministry.

✝️ A Perfect Rock

When Love Grows Cold

What Treasure Is Controlling You?

Matthew 6:20---Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.

Many young people are building their lives on the rock of materialism. I find across the country a deep economic discontent among people in every walk of life. People want more and more things. They forget that we are enjoying the highest standard of living the world has ever known. We still have poverty, and hundreds of agencies are trying to do something about it, but we are dissatisfied. We want more, more, more. But Jesus said, “You cannot serve God and money.” He said that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things that he possesses. Adolf Berle, in his study of power, points out that riches often make people solitary and lonely and, of course, afraid. Many times a rich man knows loneliness and fear because when he makes wealth his god, it leaves him empty. You see, without God life loses its zest and purpose and meaning. With God, nothing shall be impossible to you. His invitation is still come unto Me.

1/24/2021 Keys To Overcoming Fear Text—Mark 6:45-51

✝️ The Coming Persecution

THE LORD'S PRAYER

So the Lord’s Prayer is not true according to fact-checkers. We are now living and seeing the beginning of the persecution of the American Christian and Church. But I will not sorrow as those who have no hope. In fact, I rejoice in knowing that the Scripture is fulfilling right in front of my eyes. This very day could be the day the Lord comes to Rapture His Church. I posted this beautiful picture of the Lord’s Prayer and twice now the fact-checkers have hit it as not true and then try to tell me why. Well, let them do it again. Please share this and let us as Christians flood Facebook with the Lord’s Prayer.

When You Have No Enthusiasm

When You Don't Need Answers

When you don't need answers because you have real faith, you can live totally for God. When you don't need answers because you have real faith, then your decisions are always based upon what should be done to glorify God. If all the decisions you make are dedicated to living for Jesus and living totally for him, then making decisions when the tough times roll in aren't as difficult. Every decision we make in tough times and tough circumstances ought to be totally for Him. If you don't need answers because you have the answer then any remaining questions you have are questions about what God wants from you and what you want to do for God. When you don't need answers, your direction and purpose in life are directed not by the outside world, but by God working within your inside world. When you don’t need answers you are following the two great commands that Jesus gives;

1. Love God

2. Love Your Neighbor

Unbelief Will Steal Your Joy

God’s Wrath Can Be Good

A man lied about who he was. He represented himself to be someone he was not in a business transaction. At the time this man committed this sin, he felt justified in sinning. He had good reasons for misrepresenting himself. He even had noble reasons for doing what was not in God's will. However, just after he did these wrong things, God spoke to Him and he listened to God. God spoke to him through his conscience. When God spoke to him through his conscience, the wrath of God fell upon him and he was devastated by what he had done. When his conscience stabbed him and pierced his heart, he took action by telling the truth and apologizing to those people to whom he lied. The result of this wrath was good. The people who were lied to got to see a godly man recant, become humble, and tell the truth. Their life was impacted. The result for the man who lied is that he never repeated that sinful mistake. For you, because you read this story, this man's wrath can also be good if you follow this man's example and always do the right thing. Further, if you do not do the right thing and you make a mistake, learn from this man's example, own up, apologize, and do not repeat the mistake.

✝️ No Condemnation

Dealing With Being Separated

Are You Confined And Imprisoned Within Your Life?

But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin until we receive God's Amazing Grace. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin so that the promise by faith in Christ could impart everlasting life. We may be confined and imprisoned by the physical limitations and circumstances of our life. However, when we are confined we can always choose the circumstances of our heart, mind, and soul. A man's or a woman's ultimate quest in life should be to rise above their physical limitations and circumstances. Our ultimate quest in our life should be to live as fully as possible despite our circumstances. Each person's ultimate victory in life is to live a full and fruitful life in heart, mind, and soul regardless of physical limitations or circumstances. Some of us may never be able to make the physical limitations and circumstances of our life go away.

We may always have to live with these limitations and circumstances. However, when we choose to control and command the circumstances of our heart, mind, and soul, then hope has a chance to flourish. When hope flourishes then our life can flourish no matter where we are or what the circumstances of our life might be like.

✝️ Run To The Light

Love Makes The Difference In Life

How Do You Act When Nobody’s Watching

The story is told of a fellow who worked for the shoddy Construction Company. One day, while building stairs, his boss put hay bales inside the wood forms. They poured concrete over the hay. The owners were away and never knew. Five years later, the hay had rotted, the stairs were hollow, the concrete cracked and then collapsed, but the contractor had vanished. The owners got stuck with having to pay for a new set of stairs. The dishonest company got away with it that day. Eventually, however, their poor reputation drove them out of business. On the other hand, a newspaper described a Florida man who found $1700 in a purse. He gave it to the police and refused the reward. He could have pocketed the cash, and nobody would have known. Turned out, half the money belonged to a single mom who had saved money for a year to take her son to Disney World. No money meant no trip. The other half belonged to the boy’s grandfather, who had pinched dollars from his disability checks to pay off his mechanic so they all could have a car. The Florida man might have pocketed the cash; instead, he said, “It wasn’t mine. “Integrity is how we act when nobody is watching. Nothing we do is hidden from God, even when nobody’s watching how we act, God sees and remembers. Integrity doesn’t cut corners.

How To React To Crushed Dreams

What We Must Do To Take Charge

We must see what it is we must do about adversity to take charge of adversity. If we do not take care of the "doing" part of taking charge, the adversity can worsen and we can be hurt or injured in some way. Knowing what to do in adversity is not enough. Seeing what we are supposed to do in adversity is not enough. Seeing the danger of a circumstance is not enough. Being an expert and knowing what to do in adversity is not enough. Understanding the adversity in its entirety is not enough. What we must always realize is the rubber meets the road when we are prepared "to do", or to go from inaction to action. For example, if you are faced with a habit of some kind, you can be the world's greatest expert on or about the habit. However, the nitty-gritty is what you are going to do about the habit? Are you going to quit the habit? Are you going to get help to quit the habit? Are you going to physically do something to quit the habit? If you are willing to do something to quit the habit and then follow up your willingness with action, you are on the road to taking charge. You are on the road to freedom. And Who The Lord sets Free Is Free Indeed!

Victory Over Adversity

When You Cannot Do

What do you do when you realize you cannot do it? What do you do when you realize you are extremely limited? What do you do when you see you are caught between rocks, hard places, walls, and barriers? When we spiritually look at the physical world, the world not only begins to look different, the world begins to look REMARKABLY different. When we realize we cannot physically live our life, and then we spiritually look at our life, we see an unlimited horizon from our unlimited God. In our unlimited spiritual world, we can do great and mighty works through God. When we realize how limited we are in a physical sense, we need to look at our physical limitations in a spiritual sense. Seeing physical limitations in a spiritual sense enables us to see unlimited spiritual opportunities. When we spiritually see our physical world, walls, barriers, and mountains begin to disappear. There are worldly limitations in all our worldly life. However, there are no limitations in our spiritual life. Going from the physical life to the spiritual life is a great and wonderful journey that causes us to lose sight of ourselves. After losing sight of self we then see Jesus more clearly and can follow Him.

What To Do When Hope Runs Out

What The Mind Does

The mind provides a kind of enlivening energy within the whole body. This enlivening energy enables the cells of the body to talk to one another. Although the mind does not keep us alive, the mind is part of the body and spirit. The mind, body, and spirit are interwoven or connected in ways we still find mysterious. We can think of the mind as part computer and part movie producer. We can think of the mind in this way because the mind, in part, assembles thoughts, ideas, and images from both the world outside of us as well as thoughts, ideas, and images from the world inside of us.

What Others Need Most

What it Means to Grow in the Word

While studying in the Holy Land, a seminary professor met a man who claimed to have memorized the entire Old Testament in Hebrew. So the professor asked the man if he could give a demonstration. The man agreed, and the two met at the man’s home. The professor took out his Hebrew Old Testament as the man asked, “Where shall we begin?” “Psalm 1,” replied the professor, who was an avid student of the Psalms. And beginning with Psalm 1, the man began to recite from memory while the professor followed along. For two hours, the man continued without a single mistake as the professor sat stunned. When the demonstration was over, the professor discovered something even more shocking about the man. He wasn’t a Jew nor a Christian, but an atheist. He knew the Scriptures better than most Christians ever will, and yet they had done nothing to change his life because he simply didn’t believe them. Knowledge of God doesn’t always lead to maturity in the faith. Countless people know the Scriptures up and down yet simply don’t apply them to their lives. But the person who knows one verse and applies it is more spiritually mature than the one who knows many and applies none. Yes, know the Bible. But more importantly, apply it to your life. That’s what it means to be mature in the Word of God!

What God Must Have Thought

What's That Sound?

A Poem By Sandra Rowan A Local Nashville, Ga. Resident Who Is Very Gifted By God To Write Poetry.
What's That Sound?
Someone is sleeping safe and sound,
Hears a noise that shakes the ground.
They awake and look around,
Some of their friends cannot be found.
What happened? Where did they go?
Many said, "We don't know.
They walked around all that day,
None of them thought to pray.
A Christian hears the trumpet sound,
And, knows they are Heaven bound.
They look into the sky,
As they begin to fly.
Do you know the difference between noise and the trumpet sound?
Are you hell or Heaven bound?
If you don't know the answer today,
You need to bend your knees and pray.

Walk As Children Of Light

What Is Forgiveness?

What Hopelessness Does

Hopelessness conjures up deep feelings of desperation. When we are in hopelessness, no matter what we do or think, nothing will alter our life. Hopelessness diminishes our power and control over our lives. Desperation caused by hopelessness causes people to do desperate things. Hopelessness alters our perception of what will happen in the future in a way making the future look dark, bleak, and vacant of what we want or need. When we lose or give up power in our life, we tend toward hopelessness because we have perceived ourselves as having no control over circumstances. When we feel hopeless we become passive and often give up trying or believing our future holds promise.

True Love

Walking Everywhere You Go!

A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father who was a minister if they could discuss the use of the car. His father took him to his study and said to him, "I'll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your bible a little and get your hair cut and we'll talk about it." After about a month the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss the use of the car. They again went to the father's study where his father said, "Son, I've been real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you've studied your bible diligently, but you didn't get your hair cut." The young man waited a moment and replied, "You know Dad, I've been thinking about that. You know, Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair!", to which his father replied, "Yes, you're right, and they also WALKED everywhere they went!"

What to Do To Have Victory

Victory Over Circumstances

When we learn to live from the inside out rather than from the outside in, we can live with and conquer any kind of life circumstance. The outside circumstances are the sources of darkness, suffering, and pain in our life. We can deal with these outside forces by living inside ourselves. We can deal with the forces of darkness, suffering, and pain by recognizing the inside part of us is the only place from which the Light can come, because inside of us is the kingdom of Heaven.

Victory Over Death

Using Big-picture Instructions from the Bible

To achieve my hopes and dreams, will I have to do anything going against the big picture instructions God gives me in the Bible? The wisdom and guidance contained on every page of scripture work to our benefit. There are no short-cuts or easy avenues to realizing our hopes and dreams, especially when those hopes and dreams are pointed in the direction of God's will. Although there are no short cuts to doing God's will, scripture gives us incredible guidance and common sense to realize our hopes and dreams. Scripture gives us a way to establish win-win relationships at home and work. Scripture gives us common sense ways to deal with problems and obstacles disabling to normally functioning adults. Scripture gives us a special vision and power rare in today's dark and ominous world. Hard to believe as it might be, the big picture instructions of scripture, when followed to the letter, end up taking care of a lot of the hour by hour details of our life. However, we must remember God's instruction manual only goes so far. He leaves many of the implementation decisions up to us to preserve our free will and test us to see how devout we choose to be.

Be An Overcomer

Doubt Destroys, Faith Finds Christ

Two Views Of Life

There are two views of life's difficulty, pain, and darkness. There is a negative view and there is a positive view. The negative view of life's difficulty is a view where every bad occurrence in life is a circumstance you perceive as totally out of your control. The negative view of life is grounded in the physical nature of life and a full discounting of the spiritual nature of life. By essentially negating the use or even the existence of your spirit, your heart, and your mind, you give up control over your circumstances. The negative view affirms the negative outcomes of life. The negative view affirms the hopelessness of life because, in the physical plane in which you live, there is no hope in your physical world for your physical survival into eternity. The negative view always embraces the idea there is either no way to fix or constructively deal with life's difficulties. The negative view of life is a view where the path of life has a definite end. The negative view of life provides no meaning and no purpose in the day to day living. The negative view of life looks at life as if defeat is certain. The positive view of life's adversities is a view where every bad occurrence in your life is considered as an opportunity to take charge of as much of your life as possible. This positive view of your life is grounded in life's spiritual, emotional, and intellectual nature. Through the use of your spirit, your heart, and your mind you can exert some control over every circumstance. The positive view embraces the positive possibilities of life. The positive view affirms the hope of life…the hope that will burn within your heart. The positive view of your life always embraces the idea there is a way to fix or constructively deal with every difficulty. The positive view of life is a view where the path of one's life has not only no definite end but also a new eternal beginning soon. The positive view provides both meaning and purpose regardless of the day's circumstances. The positive view of life looks at life as if victory is not only certain but guaranteed regardless of the dark surroundings in any given moment.

A Wonderful God

Victory After Defeat

Turning Your Life Around

Your whole life can be turned around, not by material things or material circumstances, but by the cleansing power of surrendering all you are and all you have to Christ. Your whole life can be turned around by undergoing the humbling experience of seeking forgiveness for your sins in Christ. The empowering experience of freedom from sin turns your life around. The enabling experience of feeling the love of God through Christ and His grace because you are forgiven turns your life around. The freedom from sin and the grace of God are such life-turning experiences, God's grace is so sufficient, even in suffering or even in the worst hardship, you can praise God who sent his Son to die for you. When you turn your life around, you are not the one who does the turning. Certainly, there is a turning going on, but the love of God is the turning power or turning force and you are the results of God’s turning.

Troubles In The Defensive Life

Trouble in relationships is like a fever in the body. Trouble in relationships is an indicator something is wrong and needs changing, treatment, attention, diagnosis, and some kind of action on your part. Someone who lives a defensive, dependent life crumbles when threatened. A threat casts the defensive person into despair. Living a defensive and dependent life creates faulty relationships one after another. Defensive people defeat themselves with their defenses, always trying to justify themselves. This is how the darkness threatens and keeps the defensive person captive. However, when we are ultimately threatened we often let the defense rest or let the defense down. Then we can let the Light of God's redeeming love work within our hearts and lives. People grow to be defensive because they have been hurt or deprived. Even when people are hurt by an accident, the way people handle the accident, as well as how they use, build, grow, and heal from the accident is determined by whether a person chooses to live in the darkness or live in the Light after the accident happens.

Tragedy, Trauma, & Misfortune As A Test Of Faith

Are trauma, tragedy, and misfortune a test of faith and obedience? Yes, trauma, tragedy, and misfortune are a test of faith and obedience. However, this answer is almost too easy, too ready, and too superficial. This answer is too easy, for the question is not complete. The real question, the complete question is, "Is trauma, tragedy, and misfortune a test of faith and obedience FROM GOD"? Those last two words, "FROM GOD", are the keywords. These words are the stickler words. For in times of tragedy or misfortune the doubts and questions about God mount and for many people the questions remain unanswered. The short answer is "No!" for God is not in the business of hurting, killing, and maiming. Notice in the book of Job, it was Satan who delivered the blows.

Coffee ☕️ And Conversation Hope From Gordon Avenue Baptist To Forgive

Time To Grow Up

For every person, whether Christian or not, it is time to grow up spiritually. It is always a time to mature, for all of us have room to grow. All of us have untapped spiritual potential. For all of us, it is time to get off the baby bottle. In growing spiritually, there is good news and there is bad news. The bad news is you may live your life on this earth and always be poor, sick, downtrodden, meek, humble, and a failure in the eyes of the world. The good news is that in the eyes of Christ, you can be poor, sick, downtrodden, meek, humble, and a failure in the eyes of the world and still be His most important lamb on earth. The good news is that no matter what the exterior appearances of your life might be like, God's presence changes everything in your life from the inside out. No matter how your life appears on the outside, you can still be full of the love of God. No matter how things appear to others, you can still be happy, fulfilled, and overflowing with joy. The sufferings of life may take away some of the joy for the moment, but God's eternal joy remains. The poverty of life may grind you down for the moment, but the eternal wealth of God's love remains forever and ever. The devastation put upon you by Satan may empty your heart for the moment, but the fulfilling love of Christ fills your heart for eternity.

Coffee ☕️ And Conversation Hope From Gordon Avenue Baptist Total Wellness

Thinking You Are Not Good Enough

Many of us feel we do not measure up. Many of us feel we are not quite good enough. Realistically, no one can be the best at everything. No one can "measure up" in every part of life. All of us have deficiencies and faults. However, should we carry a burden on our back because we feel we are not quite good enough? No, we should not carry such a burden. The reason we should not carry this kind of dark burden is that in Christ's eyes we ARE good enough. In Christ's eyes, we were good enough He was willing to die for us. In Christ's eyes, His destination for us in the world and heaven is such a glorious destination, the idea of your not being quite good enough is ridiculous to Him. As a child of God, you are more than worthy. As a child of God, you can exceed all expectations of what the world expects a person to be. To think about your trying to measure up to a defective yardstick the world creates is total foolishness. In Christ, you measure up. In Christ, you are called one of His own. Christ saw you were good enough to die for and he did, that how much he loves you.

In your daily life, you have an opportunity to give to others what they desperately want and need. You have the opportunity to give others hope, healing, and love transcending all understanding. You have the opportunity to help heal emotional wounds, to help assuage the broken heart, to soothe the effects of trauma, and to help erase the scars left from a person's past. To do these marvelous and miraculous works, you need no special training or special education of any kind. To do marvelous and miraculous works, give your life to Christ. Let His love flow out from you then over to others. Most importantly, Jesus can heal our emotional hurts and erase the scars from the past when we cannot heal ourselves.

Hope From Gordon Avenue Baptist Church---Your Worth To God

Your Importance To God

It is easy to think we are not important to God. Each of us is only a speck among the mass of His humanity that populates the earth. We walk upon the earth only a brief time compared to the time the earth has been in existence. However, no matter how small and insignificant we think we are to God, God thinks otherwise. To God, you are so important He was willing to send His only child to die for you. You are so important to God, He will walk with you and look over you all the days of your life. You are so important to God, no matter how far away you walk from God's path, He will always call you back to be His own. You are so important to God, no matter how much you fail to do what God wants you to do, He will always forgive you and call you to be His child. You are so important to God, no matter how lost you might be or how lost you might become in your life, God will always search for you as a parent searches for a lost child. You are so important to God, He will do all of these things for you because He loves you. Remembering you are important to God and remembering God loves you will carry you over every difficult moment you will ever experience. Remembering God loves you will give you the power to overcome all the obstacles of your life. Whatever we think about our life, about others, about ourselves, or God, we must always remember we are important to God and He loves us beyond our ability to comprehend.

Things God Won't Ask On THAT Day

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove.

He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation?

2. God won't ask the square footage of your house.

He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet.

He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4. God won't ask what your highest salary was.

He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5. God won't ask what your job title was.

He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6. God won't ask how many friends you had.

He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived.

He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

Encouragement For Today Rays Of Hope ✝️ The Armor Of God

Thinking The Worst

You always have a choice about thinking the worst or thinking the best. As an example of thinking the worst, a woman once lived a life where bad times seemed to come to her as if she was a magnet for the worst in life. She continually thought about bad things happening. She continually thought about the worst that could happen and in many instances, the worst did happen. Her mind was working, but her mind was working in the wrong direction. Her mind continually contemplated awful things that could happen in the future. Her kind of thinking about the future in "awful" terms has been termed "awfulizing." This "awfulizing" kind of thinking can and does affect us in body, mind, and spirit. Every day of our life, we contribute to our success and well-being by how we think. In the same way, we can take away from our success or well-being by how we think. When we pray and meditate, as we become more aware of what we think and how we think, we can choose our mental responses. We can choose whether we think the worst or think the best. As we pray and meditate, we can become aware of what is going on within us. Then we can respond to what is going on within us. In prayer and meditation, we must also become aware of what gives us hope because anything giving us hope gives us life.
