His Sheltering Arms

1 Peter 1:3 In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

God is the power of keeping you going each hour. Physically unseen and audibly unheard, the power of God can shelter you from the torrent of adversity causing you pain and suffering. The protective power of Christ does not always shelter you from attack. However, the power of Christ does keep you smiling. The power of Christ keeps your spirits up when other people might collapse from the strain and stress of life. The sheltering power of God created the mountains, seas, and skies. His creative power enables you to see, appreciate, and comprehend the majestic love inherent in His creation. When the evil one attacks you, the love of God keeps you positively going in positive directions. Without the love of God burning in your heart, you can crumble under the weight of the darkness. With Christ, you can be resilient. With Christ, you can always come back to do God's will.
