True Worship

True worship ought to be characterized by a family of believers bonded together in love. True worship should be a time when everything is done in a spirit of love. In the church, we greet each other, shake hands, sit together, sing together, and pray together. Things are not necessarily binding in love because all these things can be nothing more than just a show, as in show business. In true worship, there should never be a need to put on a show or give pretenses. True worship should be a time of reaching down deep into the soul. True worship should never be a time of escape or entertainment. Rather, true worship should be a time of running toward the reality of the love of God. When people come together in true worship, they should come together under the aura of the Holy Spirit. Under the Holy Spirit, those who truly worship together should love each other with no regard for anything except we all need Jesus every hour. When we are honest with each other and with God, we can then all reach out to each other during true worship in His love and grace. When we accept each other just as we are, we begin to accept each other just as Christ accepts us...just as we are...fallen but restored, sinners but forgiven, without hope but redeemed.
