We have the power to change ourselves. Possessing the power to change does not always mean we should change. Possessing the power to change does not always mean we do change. We must not overestimate the power God has given us to change. The rocks, mountains, and great prairies of the earth change but they do not change because of their own will or volition. Only you and other human beings have the power to change who you are and how you are. God gave us the great gift of will power so we can grow and advance in our heart, in our thinking, and in our life. Our power to change or repent gives us the ability to turn away from a life plagued with sin. Our power to change enables us to change from a life of sin to a new holy life. Our hope in life hinges upon our ability to turn away from the darkness within us. When we turn or change, we are to turn toward the Light of our Savior Jesus Christ...our Savior who died for each of us.
