I love the
way the first eight verses of Psalm 119 reads in the Message Bible.
Psalm
119:1-8---You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road
revealed by God.
You’re
blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s
right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh,
that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never
have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel I thank you for
speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what you tell me to do; don’t ever walk off and leave me. Life
can throw you a curve from time to time. Each of us has certain desires and
even set goals for our lives. Many times when we do so we never consider the
plans God may have for our lives, I know I am guilty. Sometimes we just have to
flow with the curve, let go and let God have his way. To let go and let God
have His way means we turn completely loose of the steering wheel and let God
do the steering. I have failed miserably in this area at times and today I want
to recommit myself to surrender all to
Christ. All to Jesus I Surrender!!
