Our Victory Is In Jesus
Proverbs 24:26---An honest answer is
like a kiss on the lips.
We may think we cannot do many things
when we are burdened down and in great pain. We may think we have no choices.
We may think there is no end to our plight. We may think we cannot deal with
things as they are. However, when we are in the deepest darkness, we must be
willing to admit we can be wrong and we must be willing to admit we can be
deceived. When we think we have no choice, we must be honest. For when we have
Christ alive within us, He gives us the power to do many things we cannot
normally do when we are burdened down. When we have Christ in our life, our
pain may not stop, but our victory over the pain can still be achieved. When we
have Christ in our life, we have many more choices than we think we have if we
are honest about how things are and what we have done and not done. When we
have Christ in our life, there is for us a great and victorious end to our
plight. In Christ, there are victories to be won every minute. In Christ, there
are triumphant moments every moment. In Christ, we have won even when we seem
to have been pounded down in utter defeat. In Christ, the trials and heartaches
of this life grow dim as we come to Him seeking His healing love. In our life,
there is more to life than the reality of our trauma and tragedy. In our life, we
have a mountain of great power where we can go and kneel down in prayer. In our
life, our mountain of great power is a place called Calvary. On Calvary, a
place where Christ suffered more than we have suffered or will suffer, our
victory over every moment of our trauma and tragedy was won. On Calvary, Christ
died to set us free forever.

Hope And Despair
It is a scientific fact that
depression caused by despair impairs our body's ability to function properly.
When we are depressed or in despair, our body cannot fight off disease, germs,
viruses, and other elements that attack our immune system. When we are
depressed or in despair, our immune system becomes compromised. Experts tell us
our emotions affect our body on a physical, cellular level. Hope in life, the
hope we hold within us, is an emotional and spiritual choice. Active, positive
hope can affect every area of our life including our physical bodies. Likewise,
fear and despair have a negative physical influence upon us. We have often
heard where there is life there is hope. However, the opposite is also true. Where
there is no hope there is death. A life devoid of hope for the future is a life
being lived in darkness, dread, and emptiness. A life without hope is a life
being lived as if death has become a reality.

Having Eternal Life
1 John 5:11-12---And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Most of us are not persons of power or influence. Most of us live day to day doing our tasks as best we can. In our world and in our life, darkness can come in and we find our life has been diminished. The trials and tribulations of this life try to take us down. All in all, we could say we do not have much of a life. However, when we think or we say we do not have much of life we are wrong. In Christ, all of us can live in spiritual abundance. Even when it seems we are facing the end of all things or when it seems there is no hope, we have hope in Christ. In Christ, we have hope eternal and in Him we have life eternal. The hope we have in Christ helps us overcome our not having much of a life while we walk the earth. The hope we have in Christ gives us energy and enthusiasm for living we can find in no other way.

Time To Grow Up
For every person, whether Christian or not, it is time to grow up spiritually. It is always a time to mature, for all of us have room to grow. All of us have untapped spiritual potential. For all of us, it is time to get off the baby bottle. In growing spiritually, there is good news and there is bad news. The bad news is you may live your life on this earth and always be poor, sick, downtrodden, meek, humble, and a failure in the eyes of the world. The good news is that in the eyes of Christ, you can be poor, sick, downtrodden, meek, humble, and a failure in the eyes of the world and still be His most important lamb on earth. The good news is that no matter what the exterior appearances of your life might be like, God's presence changes everything in your life from the inside out. No matter how your life appears on the outside, you can still be full of the love of God. No matter how things appear to others, you can still be happy, fulfilled, and overflowing with joy. The sufferings of life may take away some of the joy for the moment, but God's eternal joy remains. The poverty of life may grind you down for the moment, but the eternal wealth of God's love remains forever and ever. The devastation put upon you by Satan may empty your heart for the moment, but the fulfilling love of Christ fills your heart for eternity.

Sending Out God's Healing Force
Matthew 22:37-39---Jesus said unto
him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And
the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
"But what about me? What about
my need for healing? Never mind what others want, I need my healing now!"
Although we would never say we want
healing before anyone else gets their healing, some persons have that kind of
attitude. If you stood before God, totally immersed in His immense love, and He
gave you the choice of receiving healing for yourself or sending out healing to
others, what would you choose?
Your spiritual life is determined by
what you are willing to give rather than what you want to get. Always choose to
heal others before you get your own healing. Be willing to step aside and let
others go before you. All of us will receive our healing. All of us will
receive the greatest healing we could ever imagine when we see Christ. Whenever
we need healing, let all of us remember Christ's call to put others before
ourselves by sending out God's healing force of love.

Giving And Sacrificing
In the First World War, there was a
young French soldier who was seriously wounded. His arm was so badly smashed
the arm had to be amputated. The soldier was a magnificent specimen of young
manhood, and the surgeon was grieved the young man must go through life maimed.
So the surgeon waited beside the young man's bedside after the surgery to tell
the young man the terrible news about having to amputate the arm. When the
young man awakened from the anesthetic and the young lad's eyes opened, the
surgeon said to him: "I am sorry to tell you that you have lost your
arm." "Sir," said the lad, "I did not lose it; I gave it
for France." Jesus was not helplessly caught up in a mesh of circumstances
from which He could not break free. Apart from any divine power He could have
called upon, to the end of His earthly life Christ could have turned back and
saved His life. However, Christ did not lose His life; He gave it. The cross
was not thrust upon Him; He willingly accepted the cross for us.

Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
The word touch means many things and
the meanings of touch are all ways Jesus can change you.
To touch means to come to Jesus
comes to us as we ask Him. Since God knows no time or is timeless, what we ask,
when we ask, can be delivered as we ask or at any time in the future…even after
we are with God. In faith, all our prayers are answered…in God's way and in His
time. In faith, when we ask Jesus to come to us He will come and be with us,
perhaps in ways, we do not know about or fully understand.
To touch means to reach or reach out
to In the life of Christ, we can see Him always reaching out and touching
others. For us, He is always reaching out to us to touch us, to help us, to
heal us, and to save us.
To touch means to compare with: No
one compares to Christ, and nothing in your life will ever compare to the love
you receive from Him.
To touch means to make or draw a line
with: When Christ is part of your life and you are willing to let Him be part
of you, Christ draws a line over which Satan cannot pass to get to you to hurt
you or devastate you.
